--> RotaxEngines-List message posted by: "Fergus Kyle" <VE3LVO@rac.ca> "Bob - The Rotax manual says 3 liters. 3 quarts is close enough which on a normal oil change (not draining the cooler) but draining the crankcase will put the oil level roughly mid-way between the min-max lines on the dipstick. This being the case it appears that 3 liters would put it right at the max line. Thom in Buffalo" Hey, team, The niceties of language need reviewing here as we are from different corners of the globe. The U.S. decided to change the size (in volume) of the 'Imperial' quart, and so they have the U.S. quart which is smaller. It IS about the size of the litre (of which they have changed only the spelling). So it behooves us victims to consider the results of a international mail system when sending technical data. Thus wheels may be either tri- or mono-, quantities suitably spec'd and wing builds either foam or whatever. Otherwise we are going to get keen builders trying to stuff big quarts into little pipes.......? Cheers, Ferg Kyle Europa A064 914 Classic

    Subject: Stabil or Fuel Fresh
I am wondering if anyone has experience or data on using gas stabilizers. I use Fuel Fresh every time I add autogas. I have about 100 hours on the engine. I have not seen any short-term adverse effects. I am wondering about the long term effects if any. I don't really know what I am adding to keep the gas from becoming "sludge".
