Does anyone have any information about the exact proper cooling temp for a 582 running an E-gear box with a three bladed prop in the pushing mode? I am constantly running up to 185-190F temps on climb out and cruise. I hear using higher octane fuel, and Dex-cool mixed at 1:1 H20 is the proper combination. Any thoughts? RS

Check the rotax manuals on line I think they say 130-140F. First think I'd check is the thermostat. is the thermostat opening properly? is the gage right? can you see a temp drop when the thermostat opens? 136%it should cycle a couple of times before going to 140 or more. has these been happening long? or just started? you should find someone with a similar set up. how are the egt temps? good luck mal
