    Subject: Rotax Replacement Rumours!

--> RotaxEngines-List message posted by: "rogerabc" <rogerjohnsheridan@yahoo.co.uk> The 912S seems to be the engine of choice in most recent VLA / LSA designs including the prototype Cessna LSA. I assume that these manufacturers want their powerplant to be bang up to date, like the airframe. It also seems reasonable that Rotax have a product update strategy and timetable.....and the 912S has been around for 5 or 6 years now. Unfortuately googling "Rotax update fuel injection etc etc" doesn't shed any light on the issue. Any good Rotax 912S replacement rumours would be gratefully received! You're numbers are a little more consistent with mine, as I'm getting 80mph cruise at 5800rpm out of my 3:1 582 in a K-IV-1200. I use 12 degrees. Unfortunately others do much better.
