Subject: 582 oil injection
From: "369PL" <n3pupnc@aol.com>
I have a kitfox with a 582. The builder of the airplane decided to remove the injection
pump and premix 80:1 with NEO synthetic oil. The engine runs fine but
I would like to go back to oil injection. Is there any way to calibrate the injection
system to 80:1. Or is it best if going back to injection to switch to
penziol?

Nope!!
You will get what it is geared for. about 50 to 1 WOT70 to 1 lower
settings.
No need for 80 to 1 .......... Rotax does not recomend this so why use it
?
PS - A note on synthetics in your 582 -- If you use your engine at least
weekly you might do ok . If not you will be likely to not have as good of
protection from moisture as you would have with mineral oil. that ==
bearing failures.
582 cranks asre 1200 to 1600 $ new .
I use Bombarider XPS Mineral oil and have 123 hours on current plugs in last
6 months and it still running fine.
N3 pup? 582 -- should be a rocket on STOL take offs . Movies here
