If you two were having this dialog in a hangar somewhere I'd be one of many folks crowded within earshot, scribbling notes as fast as possible! We FINALLY convinced our 914 to run like it should ONLY by listening to the most knowledgeable folks we could find. Some experts preached from the manuals, others preached from the classes/forums, others preached from their experience. It was ALL word of mouth, and we found all of our answer(s) buried in the overlap. Now, we're "experts", too. So... PLEASE keep preaching! You're providing more answers than you realize. He is not Rotax's "main man" However he is the chief technical officer of the North American distributor of Rotax engines, Kodiak. >From a north american's standpoint, Eric is the most senior and knowledgeable consultant they will ever see. Actual Rotax people never set foot in the US in an official capacity. In fact, I don't think Eric does either anymore. End customers don't usually get much access to Eric outside of Oshkosh and Sun n Fun. That said, I'd vote for Phil Lockwood and his team in Sebring as the best source of reliable information on the 900 series engines for US customers. Mike Stratham from CPS is probably the best for 2 strokes. Dean Vogel ran my Rotax Line Maintenance course at Sun N Fun this year and while new at Rotax engines, he certainly seemed thoroughly initiated in these engines. -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=111650#111650 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message rotaxengines-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/RotaxEngines-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/rotaxengines-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/rotaxengines-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
