Rotax recommends long sweep ells when using a oil thermostat to prevent oil restriction. Lockwood offers the long sweep ells as an adaptor and an ell. Does anyone know a source for a long sweep ell without needing an adaptor? The specs would be 1/2 NPT x 1/2" barb brass long sweep ell. Thanks! Does anyone know of any reference where I can find this value? Thanks for your inputs. Here's what I've been able to find out. Both Phil Lockwood and Mike from Rotech Research advised that there is no Rotax spec for this. Phil said to "snug" it but not too tight. He also suggested usi ng a high temp nickel or zinc based anti-seize compound. Mike suggested torquin g it to standard torque value for 6mm fasteners (one size smaller than the 8m m bushings) which is around 90 to 100 in-lbs. **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight?
