George, the installation is not new. This problem just came up a few days ago. The starter has not been inspected and I will have him check all ground connections. Not sure when the fuse blows, after the ring engages or immediately. I will need to get more precise information from my friend before we can isolate the cause for the problem. When I have more information, I will write again. Best regards, Johann G Iceland. Changing the filter may have dropped the oil level just enough to accomplish the same thing but like you I changed senders and filters and got the same results. My pressure would indicate little spikes on the needle and eventually just peg the thing. I have to admit it was a little unnerving the first time I glanced at my gage and saw the needle pegged. I thought sure I spun a bearing but the oil temps stayed steady. At startup, warm-up and takeoff it is a steady 69-72. After about 15 Min's in the air it starts fluctuating from 79-92. It was even higher (99), with the Rotax oil filter. I changed to an after-market and it came down about 10 lbs. I checked the Oil Sender connections. The engine is running great otherwise so I'm not sure whats wrong. Any Ideas? I was going to order a pressure sender tomorrow but will hold off for now. I don't like changes that occur without reason. I use the EIS so all my readouts are digital and it really jumps around after 15 minutes or so. Otherwise it is rock solid and runs cool and smooth. I can't help but think its instrumentation. (I hope so). If I find out anything else, Ill post it. thanks again Rich Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=189866#189866 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message rotaxengines-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/RotaxEngines-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/rotaxengines-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/rotaxengines-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
