Rich, Best not to replace the flex oil line with metal. Have you noticed the degree of vibration on start and stop? You will tear up any metal lines on the engine side of the firewall. By the same token, always follow good manufacturing practice and AC43.13 when it comes to bend radius and the other 5 or 6 rules of flex hose use. -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=192401#192401

Good point and thanks Ira. The oil line ends up very close to the exhaust manifold, 1/2", and I am thinking of ordering some exhaust wrap (header wrap) to shield it. At this moment I am also looking at rerouting the oil line but there don't seem to be many options. It is running and flying great but I have to keep my eye on that area. It doesn't show any signs of overheating the oil line yet though. Rich Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=192404#192404
