      hello 
      would any of you guys buy a used Rotax engine 450 hrs total that has had a prop
      strike broke the prop in two and bent engine mount 
      does the cheap cost of the motor out way what could lie beneath the skin 
      thanks in advance

      Hi Mike,
      If the price is much less than the price of a 912 crank and the hours, 
      you might be OK, but Rotax repairs are going to be
      difficult to manage if you want to do them yourself.  Rotax is very 
      protective of their repair people and facilities.
      Do take a closer look at the blocks, both ends and make sure there's 
      still an engine there.

      I am trying to perform the 100 Hr Inspection items from the Line Maintenance Manual.
      I was doing pretty well until I got to this section:  2.2.5) Check of propeller
      gear box
         a) Verification of the friction torque.  i seem to have hit a dead end in finding
      the reference for this procedure.  
      
      Would someone be kind enough to point me to this procedure?  I have the Line Maintenance
      Manual open, but can find the reference  (See Chapter 12-00-00, para
      7.1)
