| Subject: | Rotax Oil Filter |

I know this has been talked about before, but I just bought two ea. Rotax oil filters
and the cost was astronomical. Since the last ones I bought I think the
price has gone up at least 25%, probably more like 30% ....

I know, I know, you get what you pay for. Well in this case, with the U.S. dollar
at it's lowest level in years, I don't think that will hold water.

It seems like someone did some extensive testing of the filters and spec-ed another
brand that was equal to or superior to the Rotax filter.

      gotta have some relief....

      Hi Tommy,

I have posted on oil filters and the research of a good number of the oil filters
on the market that are very good substitutes. Do a search on this forum and
I'm sure you will find it.

If you have an experimental of some type you can use these, but if you are SLSA
      you can not.

      Top two:
      Pure One PL10241
      Fram Tough Guard 3614

Pure One is an absolute stand out. It is better than the Rotax and edges out the
Fram. The Fram Tough Guard, not the standard Fram or the Extra Guard, is the
      one to use.
