Subject: | Fund Raiser List of Contributors - Please Make A Contribution |
Today!
Each year at the end of the List Fund Raiser, I post a message acknowledging everyone
that so generously made a Contribution to support the Lists. Its sort of
my way of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation
for the Lists.
Won't you take a moment and assure that your name is on that List of Contributors
(LOC)? As a number of members have pointed out over the years, the List seems
at least - if not a whole lot more - valuable as a building/flying/recreating/entertainment
tool as your typical magazine subscription!
Please take minute and assure that your name is on this year's LOC! Show others
that you appreciate the Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists is
fast and easy using your Credit card or Paypal on the Secure Web Site:
http://www.matronics.com/contribution
or by dropping a personal check in the mail to:

I would like to thank everyone that has so generously made a Contribution thus
far in this year's List Fund Raiser! Remember that its YOUR support that keeps
these Lists going and improving! Don't forget to include a little comment about
how the Lists have helped you!
Best regards,
Matt Dralle

Do not reduce the flow in the return line or the fuel pressure regulator will not
be able to do its job.

Not 100% sure but need to be in DOS or a sim Dos .
Why you need to keep connecting to the TCU anyway?
Have you changed the connector cable by any chance?

For what it's worth, this is practically pattern altitude where I live (northern
new mexico where the ground is about 7000' MSL ;)). 8500 on up to 10,000 MSL
is pretty typical just kicking around the area.
So I'm kind of chicken to try E10 myself even tho my engine is out in the open.
My plan is to run a blend of E10 and 100LL, which I figure will mitigate the
bad effects of both (half the amount of ethanol and half the amount of lead) as
well as keep the vapour pressure down. I'll still go to the recommended maint.
intervals for when running leaded gas tho...

As someone else stated, the 914 fuel return line needs to have low
resistance (i.e. - unrestricted) per the 914 Installation Manual.
Restricting the return line will flood your carbs and likely result in
a fuel spill. I made the mistake of briefly pinching off the return
line with both pumps running once. Not smart. The fuel pressure test
we were conducting quickly turned into a test of the carb/airbox drain
lines.
BTW, our return line connects to a "T" on the suction side of the fuel
pumps instead of returning to the tank.
