This is what I found (note: several typo errors were fixed): Both Ezorb and Startron are good products. Only one problem though. Startron is an enzyme which block the gas and ethanol from coming together forming phase separation. Ezorb is an emulsifier which surrounds the molecules of gas and ethanol that already came together. After it surrounds them they will eventually collect at the bottom of the tank and form sludge and there is no way to get the sludge out except to drain the tanks. One other way to remove the sludge is to add Startron. It will collect the sludge and suspend it, run it though the lines and collect in the filters. So make sure to buy some Startron and a lot of filters this spring. Startron will also stop phase separation and bring gas that has separated back but it takes a period of time. Not over night like in the Fisherman study. Also you can't add an additive and pick your gas tank up and shake it to mix it up. Another reason why Ezorb worked so fast. What they didn't show you is that the Ezorb eventually collected at the bottom of the test tube. One other not is that engine and fuel manufactures recommend not using emulsifiers in your fuel. They do however recommend enzymes without doing any harm. The above post on a marine site, they have trouble with ethanol and water too, suggests that before using this additive in an aircraft it may be a good idea to try it in a glass jar first. If any sludge develops then avoid use of the additive in a plane.
