Why can I not find an authorized Rotax engine technician listed any where in
the US? I went to the Rotax-owners.com site and clicked on the tab for
support, and under that tab is a list of items, one of which is "find a
technician". When you follow that trail I cannot find a technician listed in
any of the US states. Why is this? Certainly there must be some Rotax engine
authorized technicians in the US!!
Have I just made a mistake or am I correct in my finding?

Are you aware of Lockwood near Lakeland, FL? They are distributor and
seller of Rotax.

There certainly ARE authorized Rotax engine technicians throughout the U.S. I believe
LEAF is one, as well as Lockwood. Clyde Poser of Rainier Ultralight (in
Washington - state, not D.C.) is another. Also check with Rainbow Aviation in
Corning, Calif.If they're not (and I believe they are) they will certainly know
of other authorized Rotax engine technicians.

Hugh,
We have a Rotax tech here in Goldsboro. However, he is only qualified
to remove and install external parts. He cannot open the case. As I
understand, he can balance carbs and such. I have used him a little but
nothing very complex.
