Kevin, Any Rotax dealer, or better yet, any car accessorly store can supply you with a Pierburg E1F pump (p/n 7.21440.78.0). They are installed in various gas cars. Some info at : http://contrails.free.fr/engine_pierburg_en.php Hope this helps, Best regards, -- Gilles http://contrails.free.fr ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 03:51:06 AM PST US From: "David Joyce" Subject: Re: RotaxEngines-List: 914 fuel pump Kevin, Might be worth looking at the newly announced pump from Andair. If it is anything like their other products it will be excellent. David, The Rotax 914 turbo control unit as well as its 3 way valve are setup and calibrated for the Pierburg pumps that come with the engine. Substituting pump models *may* work as long as one knows what he is doing. But do we really know what tests are necessary to ensure proper working of the control unit, valves and pressure regulator with another model ? I am thinking of using this pump to transfer fuel from the auxilliary tank to main in my Europa. Then I would always have a spare fuel pump too. When the Engine gets to 5,000RPM the Monitor goes down to or below 2.2lbs. & displays low pressure. When this happens the Engine continues to run great even at 5,400RPM. I installed a pressure gauge in front of the sender & when the Monitor showed less than 2.2lbs. at 5,000RPM the inline gauge showed a strong 3lbs. The Monitor Manufacturer thinks it's the sender (Westach 387-16V2-C). I thought the sender might be bad so I installed another one with the same result. MY QUESTION IS; DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A FUEL PRESSURE SENDER THAT IS MORE ACCURATE THAN THE ONE I HAVE????
