Do not use paper filters. Search the list and you will find it much discussed. The preferred filters are plastic filter element in glass cartridge. so you can inspect the degree of buildup Ira -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=235847#235847

Yes read even harder. The plastic filter element is exactly the same color as the swarf present in polyethelyne rotomolded gas tanks from manufacturing. Inspect and clean all you want as I and many others did. I am lucky I didn't get a bent airplane upon lifting off from a touch and go and having the engine stop. What is preferred are large canister type automtive fram type units with very large surface areas for high fuel flow. They are cheap, readily available and easy to replace and throw out.
