Hello fellow listers.
I am having a problem with starting my Rotax 912 UL engine. A full
battery is not turning the starter, but if I remove the starter and
charge it directly from a battery, it turns.
I removed the spark plugs and started again, and the engine is turning
very slowly and then slowing down. I thought the problem was with the
regulator and after testing it, it showed no charging.
But that should not affect the starting ???? I replace the Ducati
rectifier/regulator with a Schicke GR 6 regulator.
The engine has a high compression and everything is turning normally
when turned by hand.
Do you have any suggestions to this problem?
