Hi Johann: Good to see you have your 701 flying. What engine do you have on your airplane? I had a hard starting problem with my first 912 back in 1994. Eventually discovered closing the spark plug gap from .028 down to .020-.025" eliminated the problem. Haven't had it with my two 912ULS engines. Haven't read the thread or anything else on the Rotax List, so I am probably repeating something someone else has shared with you. Starter needs to turn the engine 200 rpm to get the Ducati ignition system to fire. A low battery, poor connections, solenoid, etc., all contribute to this problem. Give me a shout back copy some times. john hauck mkIII -------- John Hauck MKIII/912ULS hauck's holler, alabama Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=250526#250526
