Subject: | Rotax 912 UL Oil Analysis |
Gentlemen:
I fly an Allegro 2000 with a 912 UL engine. I have had the engine since
new.
It now has 228 hours on it. I use only Mobil 1 Racing 4T oil. I have
changed
oil and filter regularly every 50 hours. I also have examined the used
filter at each oil change. I have had no problems, but I finally decided
to
have an oil analysis done. When the results came back I looked at the
numbers and said to myself, =93OK, now how do I interpret the results? I
don=92t
know what the results mean. The lab simply gives the results without
drawing
any conclusions. I am posting the results below hoping some of you guys
can
give me some insight into what they mean as far as =93do I have a
problem or
not?=94

Hi Hugh,
You should use a company that is used to doing Rotax analysis. They will have good
comparative info and direction. Most of the time if everything is normal that
is all they say.
This company does lots of Rotax.
