Scott, Is there any black "mist" inside your intake manifold? Have you been adding anything to your fuel (e.g. Stabil, or SeaFoam)? These chemicals may contain propenol (or other alcohols) that may not be compatible with your fuel tanks. I was having the same problem. I took off the tanks and cleaned out all the old "Kreem" fuel tank liner with acetone. Then resloshed with Kreem cut with MEK. I also replaced the old fuel lines with blue translucent fuel line. I took a Q-tip with alcohol on it and swabbed a sample of my black fuel line. The Q-tip turned black. I conducted the same test with a section of blue tubing and found the Q-tip to be clean. The problem is that the resin used in the fuel tank can leach into the alcohol and not show up until it is atomized passed the carburetor. Hence, the black "mist" in the intake manifold passed the carburetors.
