Why not go to a Billet pump ? There is no doubt that this will be my
replacement pump when mine fails. After seeing it at Lakeland I was very
impressed with the workmanship. Less parts, very high quality and I believe a
little less money. Check it out.

AAAhhhh my mistake. I thought you were talking about the primary 912/914
fuel pump not a boost pump.

Rick,
Sorry, I did not mention it, but my Allegro is E-LSA.

Hugh, Unless you have moved your Allegro from S-LSA to E-LSA any change
in fuel pump must have a Letter of Authorization from the manufacturer
in order to maintain your airworthiness certificate and becomes part of
the aircraft's permanent record.

Jim/Heather,
I ask Leading Edge Airfoils if they carried Pierburg fuel pump No.
7.21440.51 (the pump that is on my Allegro 2000) and they told me they
did not carry Pierburg pumps. Also I cannot find Pierburg pumps on their
website. What did you do to get your pump??

We purchased a replacement pump from Leading Edge Airfoils. They
had it in stock and are close enough so that UPS Ground had it here the
next day. Cost was $362.
The pump is a Pierburg 7.21440.78. There are several similar
Pierburg pumps in the E1F series and the performance specifications are
quite different.
So although the price is high we think it is worthwhile to have the
correct pump for our engine (914 relies on electric pumps, no mechanical
pump) and also to support Rotax dealer for future parts and technical
support.
