Barry,
Twas me, indeed.
I still have my original FCC issued "Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit"
from 1966, when there were two Rs in the bow-powered pointed projectile nemonic.

Kevin,
Have a look at Rotax SI-914-005 R2. There you will find on page 7 a drawing of
Rotax part # 956050 which is an AN8 fitting with an 8 deg angle.
Hope this helps.

Hi Jim & Heather,
I have seen the Rotax AN8 banjo fitting. But without buying a new style oil
tank with AN fittings, I would not have AN on both ends of the hose.
My question was about finding a barb style banjo with an angle.

Kevin,
I TIG welded a couple of 8 AN - 1/2" Tube steel braze fitting adapters to the
two barb fittings on top of the oil tank and effectively converted it to tank
with AN fittings.
The only 'messing around' part was that I had to bore the adapter so that the
oil tank barb fitting would slide inside so it could be welded.
The fittings came from Pegasus Auto racing and the part number was 3259-08 @
$4.00
If I can find them I'll send you some photographs.
Paul

Subject: | Steel braided wires from Igntion Switch to A & B modules |
I have a Rotax 914 and am building a DynAero MCR-4s (www.dynaero.com) . Are the steel braided wires as indicated in the Rotax Installation manual Fig 58/1 page 93 an item that is supplied with the engine or is it an aircraft manufacturer supplied item. I went to connect my ignition switch up and discovered that I do not have these cables.
When I purchased my kit from France I intentionally did not get any electrical
components as I planned to do this in New Zealand which I am now doing hence the
discovery.
Could someone suggest an appropriate item and where to purchase it.
Thanks Peter
