I note that each of the various sections of the Rotax 17mm coolant hose making
up the 912 coolant system have individual part numbers associated with them when
shown in the part catalogs of CPS and Lockwood. I was told recently that you
can't purchase these as precut and formed sections of hose as suggested in
the catalogs but only as a length of hose that you than cut yourself and fit to
the engine. Is this true and, if so, what length (ball-park) of hose does it
normally take to replace all the coolant hose on an engine?

I bought oil cooler hose from California Power
Systems<http://www.800-airwolf.com/>.
They may also have water coolant hose.

I think I used about 9' of 3/4" heater hose from a truck parts place and
about 4' of 1" hose. Has some left but not much.

Hi Goodone,
The CTSW uses 2 meters of the 17mm hose. It is easy to cut in lengths that you
need. You may want to check to see if you need 25 mm
(approx. 1") hose for the radiator.
