If applying 80 psi, then 60 is the minimum. If applying 87 psi the minimum would be 65.25. I apply 87 psi on Rotax 912 engines because that is what the book calls for, or at least it used to. Don't know if that has changed since I last read it. On every other engine, I use 80 psi because that is what I was taught in A&P school 40 years ago. -------- Thom Riddle Buffalo, NY (9G0) Kolb Slingshot SS-021 Jabiru 2200A #1574 Tennessee Prop 64x32 Truth is what stands the test of experience. - Albert Einstein Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=341265#341265 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:19:13 AM PST US Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Re: Compression Ratio Rotax 912ULS From: "Roger Lee" Hi Thom, The older version of the Rotax manual did only state 87 test pressure, but the newer version allows for use of 80-87. John, A 2-4 drop in pressure would be normal. -------- Roger Lee Tucson, Az. You can make one out of the bottom of a spark plug bottom end and a piece of pipe. here is a picture. -------- Roger Lee Tucson, Az.
