Seems like it'll hit the manifold while unscrewing it. Guess it's not a huge deal since it's only 4 bolts, but just want to confirm I'll have to do that? Hi Lucien, Just drain a little coolant down below this level, pull back the clamp and hose. Then unscrew the 2 screws that hold it down. It is far easier to remove it than mess with everything else. You will need to place it in a vice because you need to heat it with a heat gun to unscrew it. It does get hot. Clean the threads with a soft wire brush and lacquer thinner. Apply the Loctite 680. Put the completed fitting on with the screws right away and turn the nipple in the direction you want it. It is better to let it sit over night, but a gentle heat from the heat gun for a few minutes speeds that up quite fast and you can top the coolant back off again in an hour or so. -------- Roger Lee Tucson, Az. I am getting itchy to put my Kitfox IV (1050) with 80 hp Rotax 912 on a set of Aerocet amphib floats and would love to pick the brains of some folks with experience in this set up. Please give a call or respond directly or thru the list serve if you are comfortable providing some thoughts. BJ 443-480-1023 bjones@dmv.com > >

Ah, I see. it threads only into the flange.... I thought it screwed into the head itself... whew ;). took a closer look at my parts catalogue and now I see how it's put together. RogerWilco - once I get the loctite I'll pull the whole thing off and service it the way you say.
