regard my prior question of gas line residue...I premix pennzoil 2
cycle oil .....not Phillips 66 like i stated.....sorry ....old age is

The chemicals in the Evans may not decompose, but the fluid does pick
up dirt and swarf over the years and should be drained every few years to
prevent clogs.
PS Are you SURE you want to be using that nasty stuff instead of DexCool?

That does not sound like a bad deal. If it does pick up dirt - you are
making the engine cleaner. Where would the swarf come from? Doesn't the
manufacture clean their product before shipping? And even if it does pick
up these items - That is a good thing.. You could always filter the them
out.

I vote to leave it in as the Evans manufacture recommends. It has been in my Rotax
for about the same amount of time as yours and it is clear as can be. I live
in the AZ desert and it cools my engine just fine. I have never overheated
or had to add a drop yet. If you read about the hot spots (steam pockets around
the combustion area) it can prevent in a Rotax I don't understand why anyone
would want to use anything else, especially since Rotax recommends its use. If
it can keep the old Ford flat head engines cool and keep the block from cracking
between the valves it has to be good.
The only drawback I can think of is if it does get low on coolant to maintain its
integrity Evens has to be added. I carry a pint with me.
Remember, Ron Lee and Roger Lee are two different persons. Roger is the certified
expert on Rotax engines.

If one does the good ol' Rotax 5 year replacement of all rubber parts, seems to
me it wouild still be best to just replace the coolant at the same time (instead
of draining it into some container, where its likely to get contaminated anyway)
