The debris in the coolant comes from a variety of sources including vibrational
fretting of the hoses, heat and ozone induced decomposition
of the hoses, vibrational gasket wear, wear in the water pump and other
moving parts, oxidation of the aluminum radiator, etc.
By definition, if the hoses change at 5 years, so does your coolant.

I guess I will change it next year when I get to 5 years in service.
If you have used Evans from the start, do you need to flush the system
with Evans flush after replacing hoses or can you just refill with new
Evans?
