Thanks for the response, but could you go a bit further? I do not own a
ROTAX Manual.
Is that ALL 503/582 & 912 engines?
Does the manual give a reason(s)?
What has to be done to make it legal for night flying?

You can, and should download the installation, owners, maintenance, and part
s list manuals for whatever engine you run. Why would Rotax put such limits o
n their engines? Liability. Lawyers. Need I say more? :)
Again I it's on an experimental, you can ignore what Rotax wants.
