This is probably the hose that is the most affected by heat as just above the exhaust system. It works in a low over pressure environment of around 0,35 bar yet I have never seen a silicon tube used on this line. On the other hand the oil pump feed line (used in an under pressure environment) is often made of silicon. Is there a reason for not using a silicon return line as the rubber ones harden due to heat?
