Subject: | 912ULS Fuel pump pressure below limits |
New pump fitted iaw Rotax 5 yearly recommendation 4 months ago and has
approx. 20 hours in service. A progressive reduction in pressure trend
observed during previous 6 hours operation reaching a minimum of 1.6PSI in
cruise on the last flight. Maximum pressure observed on ground test of 2.3
PSI. Fuel pump pressure indicator calibration tested OK. Awaiting response
from ROTAX UK. Is this an isolated occurrence?

i had similar problem on one tank in a evektor..=C2- =C2-the wet wing
tank had been leaking and serviced the year before i got the plane.. they d
id not follow procedures and put too much sealant on the inspection hatch..
. and installed rivets before it tacked up.... the tank had ... hundreds of
hair like strings ( too much silicon used) hanging from top to the bottom
of tank....... through out the year=C2- these started to break off and co
mpleatly=C2- plugged the fuel line from one end to the other.... up to th
e selector valve.... all parts were removed and cleaned and reinstalled....
..all we could do to the tank was borescope retractor as much of the silic
on fibers as we could through the filler neck.... .. .best fix should have
removed the=C2- 18 x 18" inspections hatch and resealed .. and repainted
the wing...=C2-
