It was a potential way of achieving a soft start. The fitting of the SS system (2 modules & a flywheel) should remove the need for this obsolete technique (if it ever had any effect). -------- 46 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=501783#501783 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:16:26 PM PST US Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Re: Rotax 912 Eating Ignition Modules From: "Griffo" I concur with William Sullivan - would go further to suggest making sure all ground/earth wires have continuity. -------- 46 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=501784#501784 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 10:20:19 PM PST US Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Re: 912ULS Fuel pump pressure below limits From: "Griffo" Yeh! sounds like a restricted fuel flow which could be the filter, blocked tank breather or like Dashwwoodlock, blocked fuel line (particularly at tank exit point) -------- 46 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=501785#501785 ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 10:27:58 PM PST US Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Re: Coolant overheating From: "Griffo" Wow! I always understood the coolant temperature to be the MAXIMUM not the minimum - you might want to get this checked out. Most land based vehicles have coolant temperature sensor located in the head or thermostat housing - both high temp areas. That your temperature reading went down when airborne - suggests reduced coolant available - check level and as JH said check for air in system. -------- 46 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=501786#501786 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 10:28:21 PM PST US Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Re: Coolant overheating From: "Griffo" Wow! Should this be the case, do the bolts up "snug" then safety wire them to prevent movement. If not drilled for safety wire - suggest you do so. -------- 46 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=501788#501788 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message rotaxengines-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/RotaxEngines-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/rotaxengines-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/rotaxengines-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
