    Subject: Oil Pressure Gauge reading
Two matters which I need advice on: 1.) The oil Pressure gauge for my Rotax 912 UL engine in my Allegro 2000 ha s been acting strange recently. Just yesterday I made a 1 hour and 30 minut e flight from N92 (Laneys Airport) to (KCEU) Oconee County Airport. The oil pressure gauge during flight normally indicates slightly over 4 bar pressu re (in the normal green zone). Immediately after engine start the gauge nee dle will show about 5.5. bar, but after warm up and after takeoff the press ure will come back down to the 4 bar +/- pressure. However, on this flight after the oil pressure indication began to creep up to 6.0 bar (in the warn ing yellow zone). It stayed there for about 10 to 15 minutes, then graduall y moved back to about 4 bar (in the green zone). This is continuing to happ en on each cross-country flight. Any explanation as why this is happening? 2.) During operation on the ground and/or in the air my Rotax tach sometime s will momentarily and suddenly (without any noticeable change in engine so und or operation) drop in rpm from 5000 to 4000 +/-, fluctuate some and the n return to 5000. Any explanation as to what may cause this, or what I shou ld look for as a cause? Hugh G. My first thought is to clean and tighten all grounds.
