Nighttime temps in the Colorado Rockpile are dropping into the low 30's recently. That equates to cool in my book. Chilly is 15F and cold is -30F There are some pretty neat places too! Glenwood Springs, Telluride, Salida, Steamboat Springs, Pagosa Springs, etc..... The list goes on. We have 20 or so RV's at FTG which is NE of Denver out by Denver International Airport. If you question this, just take a tractor funnel with the fine mesh screen and run your fuel thru that. You will be amazed. It was 24 this morning in Winter Park. Anyway, if you decide on Granby (GNB) give me a call. We can offer you meals and a place to overnight. Granby is part of the Fraser Valley just on the other side of the Front Range from Boulder. GNB is at 8400'. Go over Corona Pass at about 13,000 then descend into the Fraser Valley and go north about 20 miles. Have a good trip. Andy Builder's Bookstore 970 887-2207 > > Let's see. I am planning the QB route so do not have large dimpling requirements but have not liked the hammer routine so far on the HS for single person application. The company that makes the lever action C-frame will sell just the mechanism. You'll have to check with them to see if the regular c-frame dimpler is robust enough to attach it to. Check the archives for info on pneumatic c-frame dimpler modifications. Several guys have done it and I believe Terry Jantzi is one of them. His website doesn't seem to be up any more, but you can contact him on his iwannarocket tailwheel site and I'm sure he would be happy to offer information on how he did it. Good luck ________________________________ Message 13 ____________________________________ Time: 05:24:00 PM PST US From: Gert Subject: Re: RV-List: C Frame dimpler --> RV-List message posted by: Gert I mouted an aircilinder on some rectangular tubing to make a pneumatic dimpler there are some pictures at http://my.execpc.com/~gert/ Gert dfiggins@es.com wrote: > --> RV-List message posted by: > > After reading some reviews on the web for the lever action C-frame > dimpler (cool but expensive) has anyone ever modified a regular C-frame > dimpler to add a lever to the top to operate the plunger or better yet > designed a clamp that would allow the plunger to be operated by the yoke > of a pneumatic squeezer. This isn't by accident. The amount of force required to create a dimple would bend the standard C-frame tool long before you got a dimple. The standard tool is not designed to handle any force, it is just there as a guide to hold the dies in place. Your hammer is what exerts all the force needed to create the dimple, well the hammer and your workbench. -- Chris W Bring Back the HP 15C http://hp15c.org Not getting the gifts you want?
