Your $20 or $30 goes a long way to further the List operation and keep the bills paid. A Lister wrote a funny message in the comments field of his Contribution that I thought summed things up pretty well: "Worth every penny and I'm a tightwad!" Thank you to everyone that has made a Contribution so far this year! It is greatly appreciated. If there are several people that have paid for the Ti-Downs, and not received them, and they have used all reasonable means to contact Randy Simpson, then I am prepared to put a notice on my web site warning people about the problem. The review was formerly linked on Randy's site and he used the article as a primary source of advertising. But no more.......sad........ I think that he is just very disorganized. If you wait long enough you will get the product, proviving that Randy has not totally forgotten your order. Here's some pics of my homemade tiedowns. A lot cheaper and more compact when stored. No charge, and I'm NOT going into the tiedown business!!! Those are 12" steel nails from the hardware store and pieces of scrap aluminum I had laying around. They're heavier than the titanium tiedowns, but would be a lot lighter if you used aluminum nails. The only unsafe part of manufacture is angling the holes where the nails go through. Filing a slot would be safer than angling the plate on the drill bit!!! I couldn't find the aluminum nails when I needed to make up a set and just keep using the steel nails. Bundle the nails together, put the plates between the nails and wrap the ropes around the bundle. Linn This is one tiedown. How the nails go through the plate. assembled like you would use as a tiedown. ________________________________ Message 22 ____________________________________ Time: 08:03:16 PM PST US From: "Flynlow" Subject: RE: RV-List: hangar space needed - Colorado Front Range --> RV-List message posted by: "Flynlow" I know its a long ways, but the guy I rent from is building new hanars at Meadow Lake near Colorado Springs.
