Hi don't know if it's anything to go by, I'm about 5' 8 and 200lbs and
just about fit in the rear seat of an RV4, front is no problem. It's no
so much weight, but the width of your shoulders.

Well, Van is pretty tall. Probably not 220 lbs though.

I had a guy who is 6'-2" and 220 lbs ask me "would he fit in an RV-3
slider cockpit". I have no idea. Do any of you know of someone who is
close to this size that flies okay in this airplane.
Thanks, Rick Fogerson

RE: RV-List:YUMA, AZ
Hi Yuma, and nearby Arizona RVers,
We are departing Abilene TX this morning and will stop in Yuma. Trying to reach
the nice builder there who said he would join visitors for lunch. We will check
email on landing today and see if you are available. We had a beautiful ride
from Ft Lauderdale, FL to Abilene yesterday.
San Diego or bust!

Today @ 8:45 AM N-898SC RV-8 QB took to the air and flew just like
an RV with a 0-360 and a hartzell prop. Left wing is a touch heavy but
just a sweet flying plane.
This kit was # 80533. The tail kit changed hands 3 times before I ended up
with it.
It took 3 hurricanes and one divorce to build. which is about 2.5 years
Paint should happen before Sun-N-Fun by "Florida Aircraft Painting" in Bartow
FL.
Thanks to Duke Raven of Lakeland for bucking rivets.
Thanks to Brian Parrish of Lakeland for his help.
Thankyou Vans for a great aircraft.

Well, no URL in that last message. I guess URLs posted on the Web interface using
the URL command don't translate to the mailing list.

RE: Subject: Re: RV-List: Blast tubes or not:
Harry's remarks about service life are very good. I have blast tubes on the
following:
front ram air - alternator, on the rear baffle - both mags and the fuel
pump.
I have no vacuum pump installed Did I overdo it - maybe. Will I suffer for
it? Definitely not! Mony well spent ( < $5.00).

Subject: | Mounting throttle and mixture cables |
We are beginning to install the accessories on our Superior parallel
valve O-360 that has fuel injection and a composite sump. In talking
with Van's, they said they had no info on this configuration and
couldn't offer any help on how the throttle and mixture cables are
routed and mounted on the engine. If anyone has done this, I would
appreciate any pointers or pictures you could provide
Thanks, Jim Barrilleaux
