But, as the rule appears right now the first category for ELSA will go away entirely after January 3 1, 2008. After that only category 2 and category 3 will remain. Please bear in mind that this is for CERTIFICATION in ELSA. It does not no w, nor will it later, effect the flying. No matter what category an aircra ft is certificated in (LSA, AMA-BLT, STD), as long as the aircraft meats th e definition of an LSA aircraft in FAR 1, a person may fly that aircraft un der the Light-Sport rules. ELSA that will be certified by t he FAA as LSA qualified and has to be built with no mods 3. Ron, I have been running the same setup for 600+ hours without any ignition problems. Since yours ran 350 hours without problems, you might be better off diagnosing the current problem before changing plug type. Your current problem may or may not be in the plug(s). If the problem started when you performed the maintenance, check for an ignition lead inadvertently damaged, incorrect gap setting, or a ceramic insulator cracked during gapping or handling. I need to buy a new set of plugs for my IO360 C1C - 200 HP. I have a Jeff Rose Electroair on the bottom plugs (REM37BY) - and a Slick mag on the top plugs (REM38E). I've got 350 hours on them, cleaned and regapped them during the condition inspection which I finished yesterday - but now I've got some plugs that aren't firing 100%. (Some times it doesn't pay to fix things that aren't broken!!! - it ran like a top all the way to Lakeland and back!) I would like to use the NKG plugs that Klaus recommends with inserts. Don Rivera at Airflow Performance recommends installing it after the fuel controller and before the flow divider. This is on the feed line that is often routed vertically between two cylinders. The FlowScan goes inline and is then covered in firesleeve. It is a simple installation, adds no restrictions on the suction side of any pump, and has proved to be a very reliable approach according to what Don has passed on to me (and others who have asked). It is what I intend to do, for what *THAT* is worth! -- Dwight do not archive (since this info is already there) On Wed May 16 10:13:56 2007, Ralph E.
