It's things like this that makes my blood boil. I know, it doesn't take much, but I hear about DARs with their own 'likes and dislikes' which has nothing to do with certifying an EXPERIMENTAL aircraft! I wish someone could point me to a 'standard' for an airworthiness inspection. I haven't found anything in my cursory look. Years ago my DAR inspected my Pitts .... mostly by saying it looked like aPitts, and should fly OK (wasn't terribly misrigged etc.) and bring me back safely. He did say that if I had buildt the Pitts out of the cardboard backs from notepads he probably would have some concerns!!! Linn Oh yeah, and then there's the fee! do not archive glen matejcek wrote: > >DO NOT ARCHIVE > >I've a friend who's plane's cert was delayed because some obscure item >wasn't labelled. The smallest and lightest I've seen was a couple of 'chip clips' used to close up a bag of chips. Get the ones with the rubber insert. I was surprised at the amount of pulling to get the clip to slide off.
