This is similar to the nose gear mount in my Grumman Tiger. The Maintenance Manual calls for the nose gear to be installed with a wet application of zinc chromate primer and then torqued. Silicon sealer (RTV) is to be applied at the ends of the mounting socket to prevent entry of moisture. It also calls for a yearly removal and inspection - a procedure most owners do not perform. gil in Tucson Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=130954#130954

Does anyone know of a source for leather to upholster my seats? I plan on using a local shop that does very nice work. Thanks, Ted D. Hultzapple 6188 Deerfield Dr. Farmington, NY 14425 Home 585-924-2442 Cell 585-704-8252

Ted, I got my leather for a D-35 Bonanza interior from eBay. You can find great deals as long as you know what you are looking for thickness & weight wise. Unfortunately if you make a mistake you are either stuck with it or you can resell it on eBay. Example: 140149432213 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140149432213&ru=http% 3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksi d%3Dm37%26satitle%3D140149432213%26fvi%3D1 ~55 square feet of "Buttery Soft leather for $165 delivered. Look under Leather Hides or Leather Upholstery. Good luck, Robin Do Not Archive

A few folks were interested in ordering bags made of leather (grey/black/brown). The link to the VAF post should have some pictures and info attached. http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t 743 Regards, Kurt Bison Mountain www.bisonmountainbags.com bisonmountain@yahoo.com --------------------------------- Moody friends. Hello everyone I just bought a used Navaid autopilot and it came without a Smart coupler installed so as such I'm looking for one. If anyone on the List has one that he/she would like to sell, I would buy it if the price is right. I know Porcine Associates sells them but they're asking close to $300.00 and I'm not ready to pay that much. Also, would anyone on the List know where I could find a Garmin 295 GPS Interface.I need one to connect the RS 232 wires from my fuel flow computer (EI FP-5L )to be able to use the fuel predition functions.Garmin no longer sells them as far as I know. Please respond off list with you want. Thank you for your help Bruno Dionne RV-4 C-GDBH rv4@videotron.ca Do not Archive
