Probably a smaller motor, maybe 100-150 HP > would work for a glider. Any idea of the run time on these batteries? Sonex, LTD. unveiled their electric prototype at Osh this past summer. Wonder if they have talked with Bill at all? They say that they have developed their own batteries and motors... Seems they are getting 30-40 minutes run-time, and are aiming for 60. do not archive -- Regards, J. flying: Zenith STOL CH701/912 C-IGGY, 350 hrs. building: Sonex #325, Jabiru 3300/6, 85% completed ------------------------------------------------- J. Getting ready to put in the manual trim cable, can't figure out how to get the big nut off the control end. Do you need to completely remove the trim knob and attachments? Mine had a nut on the back side of the control which when taken off and with the knob pushed fully in exposed a bicycle control cable type of round slug that could be rotated and removed leaving the control free of the cable.
