Well,
I got me another n-b1rd in-flight midair collision yesterday. I've no idea
if it was a Chinese b1rd, or if it was a tail dragger, had a sliding canopy,
was painted with self-etching primer or ran auto gas in its nuclear reactor
because I never even knew it happened until I starting cleaning the airplane
and found goo on the prop and spatters on the cowl. Guess I need to dig the
air cleaner out to look for extra wings and such.
Sorry 'bout that Mrs. Mama B1rd....

You may also look inside the upper cowl to see if there is a cooked
little b1rdy in there above the cylinders, thereby restricting airflow?

Anyone --
Getting my quickbuild wings next month and am planning wire runs through wing
before I close it up and want to hide the following antennas -- VHF COMM, VOR/LOC,
GS (glide slope), and MB (marker beacon). I'll have a normal VHF COMM wire
whip and XPNDR antenna on the belly and a GPS antenna on the glareshield or
back deck for VFR operations.
** Anyone have suggestions for which VOR/LOC antennas (dipole or grounded) work
best in wingtips? Bob Archer's stuff? Van's copper foil?
** Anyone know if Van's VHF COMM copper foil on the windscreen set-up works?
** Anyone ever mount a GS or VHF COMM diploe antenna in a main gear leg fairing?
** Does 40" of foil in a wintip work for a marker beacon antenna?
Sorry for asking this stuff for the millionith time. Thanks.

You may want to consider the need for marker beacons.... the FAA is turnin
g many off, and your GPS provides you with positioning.

Do a list search for antenna. I have the aluminum flate plate strip
VOR/GS antenna
in a wingtip and it works fine. Can't remember the name.
