Subject: | Matronics List Fund Raiser - 2007 List of Contributors |
Dear Listers,
I would like to thank everyone that made a Contribution in support of the Lists
this year! It was really nice to hear all great comments people had regarding
the Lists! As I have said many times before, running these Lists is a labor
of love. Your generosity during the List Fund Raiser underscores the great sentiments
people have made regarding the Lists.
If you haven't yet made a Contribution in support of this year's Fund Raiser please
feel free to do so. The great List Fund Raiser gifts will be available on
the Contribution site for just a little while longer, so hurry and make your
Contribution and get your great gift! Once again, the URL for the Contribution
web site is:
http://www.matronics.com/contribution
I would like to thank Andy Gold of the Builder's Bookstore ( http://www.buildersbooks.com ), Jon Croke of Homebuilt HELP ( http://www.homebuilthelp.com ) and Bob Nuckolls of AeroElectric ( http://www.aeroelectric.com ) for their extremely generous support during this year's Fund Raiser through the contribution of discounted merchandise. These are great guys that support the aviation industry and I encourage each and every Lister to have a look at their products. Thank you Andy, Jon and Bob!! Your support is very much appreciated!
And finally, below you will find a web link to the 2007 List of Contributors current
as of 12/6/07! Have a look at this list of names as these are the people
that make all of these List services possible! I can't thank each of you enough
for your support and great feedback during this year's Fund Raiser!
THANK YOU!
http://www.matronics.com/loc/2007.html
I will be shipping out all of the gifts in the next few weeks and hope to have
everything out by the end of the month. In most cases, gifts will be shipped
via US Postal Service.
Once again, thank you for making this year's List Fund Raiser successful!
Best regards,
Matt Dralle

Hi:
I am planning to add a second radio. Thinking of the micro air, small, do not
have space for anything bigger...
Where is best price, and does it comes with harness or that is
additional cost?
Any commests on the unit, for those who have one?
do not have space for audio panel,, is there a switch or some way to be
able to use both radios?
Thanks for the information

How about "Becker". It fits in a 2-1/4" panel hole. Price is reasonable
and quality is very good

Subject: | Van's 60A alternator |
Guy's: My alternator quit working yesterday after 7 months and 130 hours in
service. I called Van's and asked if there was a warranty on this unit.
The answer was 60 days from purchase. It sat in the box nearly that long
before installation. I had it diagnosed by a alternator rebuild shop and
they said the rotor had failed and was not worth rebuilding, a "throwaway
unit". It is a light duty Suzuki Sprint 60A ND alternator, model 5022, also
used extensively in other Japanese autos. The newer test machines are
computer controlled and need model parameters input before the unit can be
tested. I was able to buy an identical replacement and exchange the pulley
for $145 with a year's warranty. I am somewhat disappointed that Van's will
not guarantee the unit as most reputable auto parts stores currently do.

Have been using a Micorair 760 for 3 years on my RV with very good results.
Using el-cheapo bent whip on belly for antenna. Only squawk is occasional
difficulty hearing very few other planes with ancient radios- never a problem
with ATC. Otherwise, installation was easy and sure can't bitch about the
price...

Not sure about a mod, but I originally tried mine with the hot mike setup,
gave up and installed a Sigtronics SPA 600 intercom I grabbed off of ebay-
shoulda mentioned that in previous post. No problems after the intercom addition...

Hey Matt, can you stop all of these political drible threads before they

Try your delete key. It works really well for subjects you aren't interested
in or people you don't want to hear from. It has the added advantage of not
restricting those who do want to hear it.

Well, if that's all it takes, then Matt could save a lot of complication by
replacing all of the RV, Yak, etc. lists with a single mailing list. If
something comes along that you don't want, just hit delete.
Let's try and keep the RV-List RV-related.
