Hi All-
Does anyone have any good info on how much an angle valve engine moves
within the RV-8 cowling during acro and other yankin and bankin? I'm
astounded by how little clearance there is on the (A/C) left side.

Glen,
Yep, not a lot space there. I have the angle valve in a RV-7 and can't
slip a finger between the tappet cover and cowl on the left side, but no
interference has occurred during +4g thru -1g flights. Most of the
movement is "rotational" during start-up & shut-down.

Payment will be in form of a wire transfer, if this alright

A bald-faced scam, absolutely. And disgraceful English, for a subject of
the Crown (although there's a chance he's more fluent in Britain's new

I'd send him the requested info, with a few digits out of sequence, just to
play with him and get his panties in a bunch.

Hi Dave,
Red flag alert! Run, don't walk, away from this! ;) The foreign address
just further confirms my uneasiness with this. The buyer specifies twice
that he wants to do a wire xfer and he's in a rush.
And if that wasn't bad enough, there are cases in which certified checks
were forged but by the time it was discovered, the person(s) and the
merchandise were long gone! So much for that avenue.
Good luck,

Go to http://www.lulu.com/content/274751 and preview the flight

Subject: | Re: Evil Replies |
A few years ago I had my C-170A up for sale and got a bite from South
Africa.
After several months of email exchanges, including photos of the
families and dogs he transferred $40k to my account.
Only then did I do the Export Certificate of Airworthiness, take it
apart and deliver it to the Port of Seattle.
See this lovely old bird at Airliners.com, registration ZS-PJD.
So, you never can tell.
