Subject: Kickoff Flyin, i39 Richmond, Madison this Saturday
The weather prediction for Saturday is currently 64 degrees with a 20% chan ce of showers. Still keeping an eye on the weather but at this point=2C we are still on. i39=2C Richmond=2C Madison Kickoff Flyin is officially on the books for Saturday March 7th. We have had a new business take over the FBO. Warbirds of America also has relocated to the corporate hangar. The appearance of the FBO has substantially changed along with the attitudes and environment. The airport is once again a nice place to hang out. i39 is located in Central Kentucky=2C just south of Lexington. We have had over 100 GA aircraft here for this one day flyin. The list of RV goes from RV-3s to Evos=2C Harmons=2C Supers to 4's=2C 6's=2C 7's=2C 8's=2C 9's....but no 10's as of last year. Let's change that one. This is a very low key=2C get the birds out and stretch those legs after the prior couple of months of winter weather flying. I'm not going to jinx the weather=2C suffice to say we have had a couple good years of weather. Remember=2C if you fly in there will be no ambulances=2C firetrucks or emergency personnel on site........there=2C that out of the way. We will once again have free coffee=2C donuts=2C Hooters wings=2C hotdogs=2C colas=2C water ........................and..............again this year...............a client is showing up with his mobile corn roaster!! Starting time is light 30 with closing at dark 30. Bring your camera and best lies=2C you will need the best of both. No vendors=2C no $3 hotdogs=2C no forums=2C no nothing=2C just airplanes and friends. Be carefu l=2C this is an uncontrolled airfield with no NOTAMS=2C no nothing=2C safety is up to you. Keep your head on a swivel and use the radio. You know the drill. Looking forward to seeing everyone nice and early. 60 degrees and sunshine.....YES=2C that's what we are pulling for!! If you are driving in and would like to spend the night in the area=2C belo w is a list of local hotels: Comfort Suites 859 624-0770 Next to Cracker Barrel Hampton Inn 859 626-1002 Next to Bob Evans Holiday Inn Express & Suites 859 624-4088 Walking distance Bob Evans Best Western 859 623-9220 Same as above Jameson Inn 859 623-0063 Bob Evans shares parking lot La Quinta 859 623-9121 Near Cracker Barrel Ramada Limited 859 626-8676 Same as above Me cell phone is 859 625-2844 with home 859 369-7582 Dana Overall Richmond=2C KY i39 RV-7 slider "Black Magic" Flying..well sorta=2C useta=2C kinda Barrett Precision O 360 A1A Hartzell C2YR-1BFP/F7497-2 http://rvflying.tripod.com/blackmagic.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMi05-WU2D0#GU5U2spHI_4 http://rvflying.tripod.com do not archive _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live=99 Contacts: Organize your contact list. http://windowslive.com/connect/post/marcusatmicrosoft.spaces.live.com-Blog- cns!503D1D86EBB2B53C!2285.entry?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_UGC_Contacts_032009

Peter, Try Falcon, the EAA's sponsored broker. Their rates for liability and hull coverage are good for flying aircraft. You also might want to check if your home owner's policy would cover it. M ine did and I switched from a 'named brand' aviation insurer. The main reason was that the aviation insurer insisted I move my kit out of the way of any predicted hurricane. They won't acknowledge that it would require me to rent a trailer=2C load it all up=2C drive to a location outsi de potential path=2C sit it out (or leave unattended) and return. Oh=2C and even with the plus up in home owner premiums=2C it still saved me about half. Of course the deal is off once I need to move the kit/airplane. Every time this subject has come up in the past (a bunch of times in the last decade or so I've been watching) it has been stated that homeowners insurers would not get near *anything* associated with aviation. Would you mind sharing how your project is listed on your homeowners coverage? Sam Buchanan

That's been my experience, Sam. USAA suggested I attempt something anatomically impossible...not verbatim, of course, but close enough.
