Yeah! The pressure is on Dayton to have some stock ready by Oshkosh.
We've got one, and only one, and they are a beautiful little tire. Can't
wait to get a box full of them.

There is indeed a REALLY nice new tailwheel coming out from Dayton
Murdock
(the guy who makes all the nice throttle quadrants). We should have
them
shortly to sell. They are nicer, and lighter (have machined lighting
holes
in them) and overall probably better than the stock Van's tailwhee.
I'll
have pics and detailed info shortly, just none to sell right at the
moment.
Cheers,
Stein

I know that Dayton was waiting on a large order from retailers like Vince
and me in order to get the price per unit down. I know they are in
production, so it's only a matter of time! Keep watching, we'll surely let
everyone know asap when they are available.
Cheers,
Stein

Curtis took my quick drain and drilled it for safety wire - evidently a bad one
slipped through as their website says they should be drilled.
They also gave me the proper torque setting for the fitting.
I had already put it back together with the original plug - didn't want to wait
another weekend and the flying weather was good.
Just thought I should notify everyone of the outcome.

Out of round is obvious if you place a stick or pen close to
the tire and observe the separation as the tire slowly rotates.
?
Balance using adhesive backed weights you can get from
places like motorcycle shops

Here's the torque and sealant that they specified:
Torque Value = 15-18 ft lbs.
Use Teflon tape or equivalent sealant
This is for the CCA1700 quickdrain valve from Curtis.
