I was trying to find a heavy gauge vinyl pouch but they only come in lots of like 500..... The Airworthiness Certificate in my RV's is displayed consistent with the requirements of FAR. Attached to the structure with Velco, the black bordered certificate holder is large enough to partially display the registration document but doing so is not strictly necessary. I stow the other required documents inside a clearly labeled business size envelope. In addition to other sources, you can purchase a certificate holder from Wicks: http://www.wicksaircraft.com/catalog/product_cat.php/subid'90/index.html Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=250303#250303 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:44:52 AM PST US From: "Wheeler North" Subject: RV-List: paperwork display I keep it behind the pilot's upper seat cushion with a very visible label on the top of the seat indicating that this paperwork is located there. The DAR was OK with that and two ramp checks have been OK with it??? ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 09:43:45 AM PST US From: Mark Swaney Subject: Re: RV-List: Certificate displayCertificate display Do not archive. Thanks for putting out the correct information Gary. I don't comment on this list very often, but it really scares me when I see responses like the one you responded to. It's imperative that we all be knowledgeable of the regulations. Items like this are one more thing that gives GA and homebuilders a bad reputation. I would would hope that before someone posted a reply, he would actually verify his comments. This is especially true when talking about basic private pilot knowledge. Sorry to get on my soapbox, but come on guys. Read and understand the regs you're operating under. It's not that difficult.
