What is considered out of range oil temp? I was playing around fast and low with hard pulls and noticed oil temp near 230. I leveled off went full rich and slowed to about 2200. it gradually came back to just under 200 which is what it normally runs. I doubt you would damage your engine by just going up to 230 for=C2- a short time. I need to run conduit in my QB wings but there are no consistent tooling holes anywhere except where Vans put the pitot holes and the one tooling hole above that. (actually below if the wing is right side up). It would be pretty easy to put a 3/4 hole in place of the pitot holes and in the tooling holes above with a 3/4 step drill and a 4 foot extension but it would get pretty close to the spar. Is there an edge distance issue with this or does it even apply? Doing it anywhere else without the tooling holes is problematic? Any comments, suggestions, pictures appreciated. Hi Bill, For better or for worse, that's how I did mine. The edge clearance does make me a little nervous especially after I drilled them (!) but I think its alright. There's a giant hole right next to it (the lightening hole), so what's the difference? See the attached photos...
