I usually climb at 110-120 knots and the CHT's stay below 400F. Pull
the nose up in a big way and they start going up...
Weight and temperature dependant, a 110-120 knot climb delivers
800-1500 fpm..

Just curious, is there any consensus as what typical rate-of-climb
helps the most in keeping the CHTs to a minimum.

Subject: | Magnaflite starter |
>Hi gang,
I just picked up a new lightweight starter Magnaflite (MZ-6220) for
my IO-360. I am replacing a Mark Landoll auto conversion. The Landoll
unit has a small jumper ( some sort of capacitor, I suppose) from the
engagement solenoid to the main 12V terminal on the back of the
starter. So, do I need a similar capacitor on the new starter? Also,
does the new starter need any sort of shimming to achieve the proper
gear lash (clearance), or does it always fit properly? Thanks in advance.

RV6A - Doing a carbon fiber targa strip and it's taking forever, took off t
he tiny tip up canopy opening handle on the pilots side and made up two lar
ger ones for both sides. The rear edge flares into the targa strip which co
vers the entire rear canopy seam. Not expecting any drafts, whistles, or dr
ips from this area. I like this mod. It's cold and rainy here.

Subject: | Oregon Innovations WIg Wag vs Duckworks HID |
Hey everybody, late last century, I bought a wig wag unit from a
company called Oregon Innovations. The phone number on the casing
doesn't work but the Yeller Pages has 503-720-1132 for Bob Haan. That
number does work but no answer today.
I am wondering if this flasher unit will work with new HID's from
Duckworks. Do many people have this flasher?
