I am replacing a Mark Landoll auto conversion. The Landoll unit has a small jumper ( some sort of capacitor, I suppose) from the engagement solenoid to the main 12V terminal on the back of the starter. So, do I need a similar capacitor on the new starter? Also, does the new starter need any sort of shimming to achieve the proper gear lash (clearance), or does it always fit properly? Thanks in advance. The phone number on the casing doesn't work but the Yeller Pages has 503-720-1132 for Bob Haan. That number does work but no answer today. I am wondering if this flasher unit will work with new HID's from Duckworks. Do many people have this flasher?
