On my CART I used strips of old carpeting about 7" wide. I think the plans
may have come out of Tony Bengal's books.

A "sling" - that's an interesting idea. I saw a picture recently were
somebody
was using old firehose to hang completed parts from the shop walls.
Do you just walk up to your friendly neighborhood firestation and ask for
some
old firehose? Heck, I bet if you explained what you were going to use it
for,
they may just give it to you. I've had that happen at HomeDepot a number of
years ago when I needed some strips of carpet (probably for the wing
cradle).
