I will be ready to measure for hoses this weekend and intend to use the aeroquip 666 teflon hoses for both fuel and oil..i have planned to uses hoses with the integrated firesleeve.two questions..first, is the firesleeve absolutely the right thing to do. I have seen a lot of installations without it..Second, is there another source for these hoses besides spruce ie cheaper.. Back on topic.we installed the sw double pass filter and are thinking we may need to restrict airflow in the winter too..we were considering the somewhat less sophisticated duct tape alternative.. It looks like a three day event. First morning fly the Rocket to a nearby airport, rent a car, get a cheap but nice motel room, and maybe spend the afternoon at the museum. Second day, take a tour of the Bone Yard and finish up at the museum. Third day, fly home. What small airport nearby best fits my needs? Don't want to go to any place where a RAMP check may occur. Ryan is almost 10 miles out of town. AZ is not CA. Have flown in AZ for 17 years and have yet to see a ramp check. Preceded by 19 years of flying in AK with no ramp checks. Can't say one couldn't happen, just haven't even heard of somebody getting one. SDL FSDO mostly has hands full with air carrier and air freight and other commercial ops, so I don't think they get to spend much time on GA.
