Subject: | Re: Firewall Pass Through w/Service Loop Concept |
I think that the real answer to your question would be to use the tube
method as mentioned, and use one long wire through the firewall. No
need for the firewall connectors in that case. Especially if you plan
to re-wire the connectors to extend them. If you decide to go the
tube route, use a q-tip to spread a thin film of red silicone inside
the tube. When all the wires are in, fill the forward end with red
silicone .... not the whole tube. Makes it easier to add more wires
later. If you just extend the wires from the bulkhead, you still have
the same problem when you go to add wires ..... and you pay a cost and
weight penalty. The weight is not much (cost is) but it all adds up.

According to the engineers at Odyssey, you are better off never
charging your PC680 than using a Battery Tender or Battery Tender Jr.
Something about the maintained voltage not being high enough and the
680 will eventually "learn" a lower top end voltage. The Odyssey folks
recommend their charger designed specifically for Odyssey batteries.
The Schumacker 1562A from WalMart is a good substitute, according to
Electric Bob on the Aeroelectric list.

I have one of these Battery Tender Juniors in my -7. The nice thing about it is
that it stops charging and goes into trickle mode
automatically when the battery is charged.

I feel that my new AERA 560 is not bright enough. When I set the
Brightness to 10 I can hardly read it in direct sunlight.
Has anyone else had this problem

Everyone I've talked to has sent theirs back for just that reason.
I don't know anyone that still has one.

Subject: | Rivet gun, pneumatic squeezer, yokes, and DRDT-2 for sale |
Cleaning out some things I'm not currently using.
Sioux 3X gun - used once so basically brand new. With adjustable regulator: $225.00.
DRDT-2 mint condition (w/ table if you want it): $225.00 + shipping.
C Rivet squeezer in good working condition w/ standard yoke, longeron yoke, and
quick release pins $450.00.
Accepting offers for the whole set. I'll ship the gun and or squeezer for free
CONUS but you'll have to pay for the DRDT-2 (probably $30-$40?).
PM me w/ email address for any photos.
Thanks.
Also Posted on VAF.
edit: the standard yoke is 3".
